Istanbul's Ataturk Airport is the busiest airport
in Turkey with over 28 million passengers each year
passing through its terminals. This passenger traffic
also puts it in the top ten in Europe and in the
top 50 worldwide. Ataturk Airport is situated in
the western outskirts of Istanbul on the European
side of the city and is named after Mustafa Kemal
Ataturk who was a founder of the Republic and the
first President of Turkey. The airport has two passenger
terminals, one each for domestic and international
passengers (Hertz have car hire outlets in both
terminals) and a cargo terminal. Passenger figures
flying from airports in the UK to Istanbul Ataturk
are over 800,000 each year using airlines including
British Airways and Turkish Airlines departing from
locations including Heathrow, Stansted and Manchester.

domestic and International Terminals at Ataturk
Airport and supply a range of vehicles to suit travellers'
requirements. Hertz options include child seats
and vehicles with snow chains of tyres. Rental cars
with automatic transmission are available and most

at Ataturk Airport International Terminal are located
in the entrance hall on the Arrivals Level. Hertz
